NSW Floods Fundraiser, BBQ sizzle & Free Tennis

The devastating floods that have impacted NSW have displaced communities and caused massive losses in property and loss of lives. Many people have been forced out of their houses, with the loss of their essential and valued possessions. The flood-affected continue to be displaced and are struggling to get back. As a community, we should all come together at this time to do our bit to help.

Parramatta City Tennis Inc. is a not-for-profit organization working to promote tennis and support the local community. The Committee has decided to hold a fundraiser event on the 17th  of June for flood relief. The event begins at 5 pm and will continue till 9:30 pm. There will be a donation box for those who wish to contribute more.

The tennis courts will be free for the duration of the event for the community to come and have a hit.

Parramatta City Tennis will match the funds generated by the BBQ sizzle and donation box. All funds will be forwarded to the NSW government-recommended charity, GIVIT, to help those affected by the floods.

We look forward to the community coming to our centre and making this event a success in raising enough funds to help the flood-impacted communities. We request you to share this email with others to spread the word and come to our event for this worthy cause.

We want you to come even if you don’t currently play tennis.  Why not try your hand at tennis and explore this evergreen sport and healthy lifestyle. We’ll have spare racquets if you don’t have one.

We are also inviting councillors from the Parramatta Council to offer an opportunity for the community to connect with your local council leaders.
